New clean eating cookbook from well-known Seattle/NYC-area chef

Pure Food Those who know Seattle- and New York City-based chef Kurt Beecher Dammeier likely know him from one of his many food-based ventures. Under the Sugar Mountain umbrella alone, he’s opened many acclaimed restaurants, including Beecher’s Handmade Cheese, Pasta & Co, Bennett’s, and more, where he serves as CEO and head chef of these businesses.

Beyond his restaurant endeavors, Kurt is the founder of Beecher’s Pure Food Kid’s Foundation, which empowers fourth and fifth grade students in the Seattle and New York City areas to make healthy food choices for life by learning to read labels and cook wholesome, additive-free food themselves.

True to the spirit of the Pure Food Kid’s Foundation, Kurt has released a new cookbook this week that BenBella was fortunate enough to publish. Pure Food: A Chef’s Handbook for Eating Clean, with Healthy, Delicious Recipes is Kurt’s guide to clean, healthy eating and includes over 70 delicious, natural recipes that use quality products that make eating clean (and cooking clean) truly approachable. Pure Food is part handbook, and acts as a comprehensive guide to eating clean, with information about the best products to use for the best results. What’s more, Pure Food is a beautiful paper-over-board hardcover cookbook with three ribbon bookmarks.

We’re absolutely delighted to have published Pure Food. Congratulations, Kurt, on a fantastic book!
