Full-time (Exempt)

Location: Remote position, but you must be located in one of the follow states: AK, CO, GA, ID, IL, KS, MA, ME, MN, NC, NJ, NY, OR, PA, TN, TX

Pay: $40-45K + benefits

Years of Experience: No experience needed, though administrative experience a bonus

BenBella Books is an independent publishing house based in Dallas, Texas specializing in nonfiction books on popular culture, health and nutrition, business, science, politics, psychology, and other topics. BenBella offers authors a partnership philosophy, personal attention, flexibility, and a creative approach to marketing.

Position description:

To support the marketing team in necessary tasks, including research, spreadsheet management, proofing, website support, data entry, and various other tasks.

Position will report to a senior member of the marketing team, but will support the full marketing team.

Remote working requirements:

  • Dedicated office space that can accommodate monitor, computer, printer, scanner (equipment provided by company as needed)
  • Reliable high-speed internet, hard-wired preferred
  • A home work environment as free of interruptions and distractions as possible 

Further description of tasks:

  • Responsible for media and marketing research to support team’s marketers
  • Responsible for spreadsheet management to support the department’s operations
  • Responsible for proofing marketing collateral and copy
  • Responsible for website support (WordPress and WooCommerce experience a plus, but not required; training will be provided)
  • Responsible for social media support (drafting captions, posting, monitoring accounts, etc.) 

Required qualities: highly organized, reliable, self-motivated, strong work-ethic are a must; design skills, WordPress knowledge, and enthusiasm for books and marketing are all pluses, but not required.
