Bill Canady

The author of From Panic to Profit (Wiley, 2025) and The 80/20 CEO (Köehlerbooks, 2024), Bill Canady has worked for over 30 years as a global business executive across a variety of industries and markets focused on industrial and consumer products and services. He is CEO of two companies with a combined revenue of $2.5 billion. As CEO of OTC Industrial Technologies, a private equity-sponsored company, he directs an organization with 30 operating companies, $1 billion in annual sales, 2,000+ employees, and over 70 sites.

Bill has led numerous organizations through their most critical challenges and opportunities, often in complicated regulatory, investor, and media environments. Through his long career, he has honed a passion for the art and science of business, developing a set of tools and techniques to grow multibillion-dollar companies. From this experience, he created the Profitable Growth Operating System® (PGOS), helping owners and operators around the world profitably grow their companies.

He graduated summa cum laude from Elmhurst University with a bachelor of science in business administration and received his MBA from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business. He is a proud veteran of the United States Navy.

Rod Canion

Rod Canion

Rod Canion cofounded Compaq Computer Corporation in 1982 and served as chief executive officer from its inception through a decade of unprecedented growth and challenges. During his tenure as CEO, Compaq set records for the largest first-year sales in the history of American business and reached the Fortune 500 and the $1-billion-revenue mark faster than any other company in history. By 1991, Compaq employed more than 10,000 people and operated in 65 countries.

Since leaving Compaq in 1991, Canion has been involved in a long list of startups and early stage companies as an angel investor, advisor, and director. He helped found the Houston Technology Center in 1999 and the Goose Society of Texas in 2005, two organizations focused on encouraging entrepreneurs and helping early stage companies succeed. He is currently a director of Invesco, Ltd. and ChaCha Search, Inc., and is an advisory director of Encore Health Resources and Dynamics, Inc.

Dr. John K. Cannizzo

Dr. John K. Cannizzo grew up in Deming, NM. He graduated from the University of New Mexico with a double major in astrophysics and mathematics (B.S., 1979). He pursued graduate studies at the University of Texas at Austin in theoretical astrophysics (M.A., 1981; Ph.D., 1984). He was a post-doctoral researcher at Harvard University and an Alexander von Humboldt Fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Astrophysics. John is currently a research professor through the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, working at the Goddard Space Flight Center on various projects in computational astrophysics.

Dr. Benjamin Caplan

Benjamin Caplan,  MD, is a licensed, board-certified doctor of family medicine and a member of the American Medical Association. For the past 17 years he has overseen more than 250,000 patients as they discover the health and benefits of medical cannabis. He has also supervised and mentored hundreds of physicians in the United States and abroad. Dr. Caplan is the founder and chief medical officer of the CED Foundation, the CED Clinic, and EO Care, Inc., three industry-leading patient care and digital education organizations.
