Patrick Markey

Dr. Patrick Markey is a Professor of Psychology, the Director of the Interpersonal Research Laboratory at Villanova University, and a former President of the Society for Interpersonal Theory and Research. Dr. Markey received his doctorate from the University of California (Riverside) in social and personality psychology, with a focus on behavioral statistics. Since receiving his degree he has published over sixty book chapters and journal articles in peer-reviewed journals, and has made hundreds of presentations at universities and at national and international scientific conferences.

Among his peers he is widely recognized as an expert on how violent video games affect our behavior, and he is regarded for being able to present complex statistical and behavioral data to a general audience in a way that is both informative and entertaining. For years Dr. Markey has been involved in educating the general public and politicians about various psychological issues related to digital media. By giving talks at universities and elementary schools he has been able to help parents, teachers, and school administrators better understand the complex research examining violent video games. Moving beyond the classroom, Dr. Markey has been invited to testify before numerous governmental committees, and he has served on various governmental task forces examining the effects of violent video games.

J. David Markham (www.NapoleonicHistory.com/) is an award-winning Napoleonic scholar and biographer and executive vice president of the International Napoleonic Society. Arthur B. Markman

Arthur B. Markman is a professor of psychology and marketing at the University of Texas, Austin. He received his Ph.D. in 1992 from the University of Illinois and worked at Northwestern University and Columbia University before moving to Texas. He has written over 80 scholarly works. He is a past executive officer of the Cognitive Science Society. He is also a member of the scientific advisory board for “The Dr. Phil Show.”

Louis Markos

Louis Markos (http://fc.hbu.edu/lmarkos) is a professor in English at Houston Baptist University, where he also teaches courses on film. He is the author of Lewis Agonistes: How C. S. Lewis Can Train Us to Wrestle with the Modern & Postmodern World (Broadman & Holman) and “The Life and Writings of C. S. Lewis” (a lecture series produced by the Teaching Company).

Dr. Abbie Maroño

Dr. Abbie Maroño is both a scientist and a practitioner in the field of human behavior, recognized by the US department of state as a top 1% behavior analysis expert. Having completed her PhD in Psychology, Abbie became a Professor of Psychology by the age of 23 and is an active member of several internationally recognized research groups. In 2020, awarded reviewer of the year, from select journals, for her significant contribution to the academic community. Abbie is now an expert advisor, coach, author, and keynote speaker.

Laurence Marschall, Ph.D.

Laurence Marschall, Ph.D., is the W.K.T. Sahm Professor of Physics at Gettysburg College where he teaches courses in astronomy, physics and science writing. He received his bachelor’s degree at Cornell University and his doctorate at University of Chicago. He writes a regular column on science books of note for Natural History magazine and is a contributing editor of Smithsonian Air and Space. He also contributes annual astronomy updates to the World Book Encyclopedia. He serves as deputy press officer of the American Astronomical Society. Jens Martin Skibsted, VP of Freethought and Mobility Design at Strategic Design Group, is a multiple award-winning designer, entrepreneur, and design philosopher. Best known for his urban mobility designs for Biomega, and collaborations with design superstars such as Marc Newson and Bjarke Ingels, he helped found several design consultancies including Skibsted Ideation, KiBiSi, and Strategic Design Group.
