Originally from Taiwan, Hsiao moved to California to pursue her bachelor’s degree at UCLA, Hsiao majored in Communications and East Asian Studies and earned an MBA from Pepperdine University. Hsiao went on to study film at NYU, where she wrote, directed, and produced several well-reviewed short films.
In 1999, at the age of 24, Tony Hsieh (pronounced Shay) sold LinkExchange, the company he co-founded, to Microsoft for $265 million. He then joined Zappos as an advisor and investor, eventually becoming CEO and helping Zappos grow from almost no sales in 1999 to the multi-billion dollar company it is today. In 2009, the company was acquired by Amazon in a deal valued at $1.2 billion. Tony has remained as CEO of Zappos, which operates independently of Amazon, and continues to help build Zappos as a company dedicated to customer service, company culture, and community. Tony’s book, Delivering Happiness, was published in 2010, and outlines his path from starting a worm farm to life at Zappos. Delivering Happiness debuted at #1 on the New York Times bestseller list. Tony helped start Downtown Project, a group committed to helping transform downtown Las Vegas into the most community-focused large city in the world.
Tanya Huff lives and writes in rural Ontario, Canada, with her partner Fiona Patton, six and a half cats and an unintentional Chihuahua. Her latest book and the third of the Tony Foster novels, Smoke and Ashes, will be out in hardcover in June 2006.
Dr. Adam Hunt is a researcher in the emerging field of evolutionary psychiatry at the Leverhulme Centre for Human Evolutionary Studies at the University of Cambridge. He is chair of the Foundation for Evolution and Mental Health, serves on the executive committee of the Evolutionary Psychiatry Special Interest Group of the Royal College of Psychiatrists and on the board of the International Society for Evolution, Medicine and Public Health. His PhD thesis, Evolving Evolutionary Psychiatry and Explaining Neurodiversity, received summa cum laude from the University of Zurich.

Ashley N. Hunt, M.A., is a graduate student in the clinical psychology Ph.D. program at the State University of New York at Stony Brook. Her research interests include couples conflict and communication and the observational methodologies used to study such phenomena.
