One of the more opinionated people in an industry of opinionated people, Rick Klaw is perhaps best known for the popular column “Geeks With Books” in SFSite. Geek Confidential: Echoes From the 21st Century, a collection of his critical essays, reviews and other observations was published in 2003 by MonkeyBrain, Inc. His writings have appeared in the Austin Chronicle, Weird Business, The Big Book of the Weird Wild West, Gangland, Michael Moorcock’s Multiverse, Science Fiction Weekly, Nova Express, Electric Velocipede, KongisKing.net, Conversations With Texas Writers and other venues. Klaw lives in Austin, Texas, with his wife, a cat and an enormous collection of books. He is a frequent guest at conventions, where he can be seen nattering on about apes and pop culture.

Andreas Widmer

Andreas Widmer is an entrepreneur, professor, consultant, business coach, popular speaker, and author, with 30 years’ business experience in international business strategy, economic development, and entrepreneurship. He has worked extensively in the U.S., Europe, Asia, Africa, and Latin America and has launched more than 100 technology products. Andreas has taught entrepreneurship at The Catholic University of America’s Busch School of Business & Entrepreneurship since 2012. He founded and is the Director of the Ciocca Center for Principled Entrepreneurship, which promotes a new kind of entrepreneur: one who can integrate personal virtue, the latest entrepreneurial tools, and long- term perspective for enterprises that harness human creativity in the service of individuals and communities.

His previous book is The Pope & the CEO: John Paul II’s Leadership Lessons to a Young Swiss Guard, which explores leadership lessons Andreas learned when, at age 19, he served as a Pontifical Swiss Guard protecting Pope John Paul II—lessons he later applied during his own business career. Andreas has an advanced business degree and a BS in business administration in sales management from two Swiss colleges (Bénédict-Handelsschule and Kaufmaennische Schule Luzern, respectively), and a B.S. degree in international business from Merrimack College (in North Andover, MA). He has an MS from St. John’s Seminary (in Boston) and was awarded an honorary doctorate by St. Charles Borromeo Seminary (in Philadelphia) in 2018. He speaks 5 languages: English, German, French, Italian, and some Spanish.

Jules Wilkinson

Jules Wilkinson was raised by television in the wilds of suburbia in Melbourne, Australia. This explains a lot, particularly her ability to sing the alto harmony to every TV theme ever written. A part-time stand-up comic, Jules is part of the team behind the Supernatural Wiki site www.supernaturalwiki.com, which documents everything about Supernatural and its fandom.

Andrew Wilkinson

Andrew Wilkinson has been touted as the Warren Buffett of tech. He grew up in Vancouver, British Columbia, started his first successful business while in high school, dropped out of college after only a single semester, and made his first billion dollars by age 35.

Wilkinson now runs Tiny, a long-term holding company for Internet businesses. Under Tiny’s umbrella, Wilkinson oversees more than 40 companies, cumulatively employing over 1,000 people and generates hundreds of millions of dollars in yearly revenue. He has acquired, started, or invested in over 70 companies. Along the way, he’s gathered a treasure trove of business and life lessons that he’s now eager to share with others. Jack Williamson

Jack Williamson was born in Arizona Territory in 1908. He moved to New Mexico by covered wagon in 1915, and still lives there. A retired professor of English at Eastern New Mexico University in Portales, he still teaches a course there every spring semester. He has been publishing science fiction since 1929, with an output of 55 novels and many shorter works. His new novel, The Stonehenge Gate, is out this year. One section of it, “The Ultimate Earth,” won the Hugo and Nebula Awards. He has published H. G. Wells: Critic of Progress, an academic study of Wells’ early science fiction.
