Nancy Franklin is an associate professor of psychology at Stony Brook University, specializing in human cognition and memory. She received her Ph.D. in 1989 at Stanford University, where she trained with Barbara Tversky and Gordon Bower. Her current research concerns false memory and emotional influences on memory and judgment.
Erica M. Freeman is an expert storyteller, award-winning podcaster, and maternal health equity advocate at Sisters in Loss, a maternal child health education company that helps Black women replace silence with storytelling around pregnancy and infant loss and infertility. She guides nonprofit organizations and corporations to execute their vision for removing bias around grief and loss internally or externally, helping them increase their reach and impact by leveraging the power of storytelling in their support programming. Erica has also developed and conducted training programs centered around bereavement support, planning for funerals or memorials, and companioning the grieving both in and out of workplace settings for top companies.
As a savvy, creative engineer, Erica is known for a results-based, no-fluff approach in her work as a podcaster, grief educator, and motivational speaker. As a result of her own journey to motherhood, she started the Sisters in Loss podcast, which has been featured by BBC News and The New York Times. With the rapid growth and popularity of the Sister in Loss podcast, she’s been tapped to keynote conferences and speak on panels at events.
Cyrus Freidheim’s 55-year business career began at Union Carbide Corp. and Price Waterhouse, then Carnegie Tech’s Graduate School of Industrial Administration, followed by Ford Motor, Booz Allen & Hamilton, Chiquita Brands International and Sun Times Media Group. Along the way, he served on seventeen corporate boards and an equal number of not-for-profit boards, serving as chairman on five. He worked in more than twenty-five countries and every continent except Antarctica. The majority of his clients and the companies he ran were undergoing major transformations or turnarounds. He is also the author of The Trillion Dollar Enterprise.
Marion Freijsen has nearly 30 years of extensive entrepreneurial experience in international business, with a primary focus on technology and sales management. She has set up and managed offices in the United Kingdom, Germany, and the Netherlands. Karyn M. Frick, Ph.D., is an associate professor of behavioral neuroscience in the Department of Psychology at Yale University. She received her B.A. from Franklin and Marshall College, and her M.A. and Ph.D. in psychology from the Johns Hopkins University. Her research focuses on the neurobiology of learning and memory, with particular interest in how hormones, aging and the environment affect these processes. She spends way too much time watching reality TV, including “Survivor,” and still feels that Boston Rob should have won “Survivor: All-Stars” (at least he got the girl!).

Dr. John Froude is a practicing physician and Infectious Disease Specialist who graduated from Guy’s Hospital London and has worked in UK, Nigeria, Uganda, Zimbabwe, Saudi Arabia, Oman and the United States. In the USA he has worked at the Rockefeller University and New York University. Currently he works in upstate New York out of semi-retirement for the COVID 19 pandemic and has written about his current experiences in Air Mail, an online magazine. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians.
