Kelli Fitzpatrickย grew up in rural Michigan. Her writing career began when herย Star Trekย short story โ€œThe Sunwalkersโ€ won the 2016 Strange New Worlds contest and was published by Simon and Schuster. She went on to become a contributing writer for theย Star Trek Adventuresย role-playing game from Modiphius Entertainment. She is the author of several short stories in venues likeย Flash Fiction Onlineย andย Still Life,ย as well as essays at StarTrek.com, Women at Warp, and others. She has worked as an English teacher, served as an editor for theย Journal of Popular Cultureย and theย Dunes Review,ย and has done science writing for NASAโ€™s Hubble Space Telescope outreach team and Arizona State Universityโ€™s Interplanetary Initiative.
