Adam Bierman is the co-founder and former CEO of MedMen, the first American cannabis unicorn and once the most recognized brand in the marijuana industry. In his decade at the helm of the company, he grew the business to five states, 33 retail stores and more than 1,500 employees. Benjamin Bikman, PhD

Benjamin Bikman earned his PhD in Bioenergetics and was a postdoctoral fellow with the Duke-National University of Singapore, studying metabolic disorders. Currently, his professional focus as a scientist and professor (Brigham Young University) is to better understand the origins and consequences of metabolic disorders, including obesity and diabetes, with a particular emphasis on the role of insulin. He frequently publishes his research in peer-reviewed journals and presents at international science and public meetings.

Jim Bildner is the CEO of the Draper Richards Kaplan Foundation (DRK), one of the largest venture philanthropy firms in the world. DRK has made more than 250 investments in early-stage nonprofit and for-profit social enterprises working to solve complex societal issues. Bildner is also an adjunct lecturer in public policy at the Harvard Kennedy School and has served as a senior research fellow at the Hauser Institute for Civil Society and the Center for Public Leadership at Harvard University. He also teaches a foundational course on the role of for-profit and nonprofit social enterprises in creating lasting impact when tackling complex societal issues.

Robert Biswas-Diener

Robert Biswas-Diener is known as the “Indiana Jones” of positive psychology. His studies on culture and happiness have taken him to such far-flung places as Greenland, India, Kenya and Israel. He is also a career coach and is program director for Education and Learning for the Center for Applied Positive Psychology (CAPP). He lives in Portland, Ore.

Jake Black

Jake Black, a native of Orem, Utah, graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in history. He has spent the last six years contributing to numerous “Smallville” projects, including short stories, DVD features, Web articles and comics. He has published licensed work on “Superman Returns,” WWE, Star Trek and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and has had essays in several academic publications. Alexis Black received her BA in Anthropology and Slavic Studies, and her MA in Slavic Languages and Literature from the University of Virginia. She is currently working on her PhD in Linguistics at the University of British Columbia.

Trevor Blake

Author of Three Simple Steps, Trevor Blake was founder and CEO of QOL Medial LLC, a specialty pharmaceutical company he started in 2002 with a few thousand dollars and sold in 2010 for over 100 million. In 2006 he founded ANU, a unique not-for-profit dedicated to developing low side-effect cancer drugs.

Prior to this, Blake was VP Commercial Development at Ceptyr and Director Commercial Development at Orphan Medical. He has worked in the UK, Europe, and the USA with companies such as Biogen, 3M, and Lipha, and has won many industry awards, including marketing professional of the year.

He has an MBA from Durham University (UK) and a Bachelor of Science degree from the Royal College of Radiotherapy. He is also a graduate of the Royal Naval Academy, Britannia Royal Naval College.
