Peter B. Lloyd was trained in science and software engineering but has a passion for philosophy, and has published several articles, academic papers,  and books bringing philosophy out of academia. After more than a decade in university research—first in solar engineering and then in clinical trials at Oxford University—he has worked for several years as a freelance software developer.
