Amanda Ruggeri

Amanda Ruggeri is a multi-award-winning journalist who covers the science, history and culture of the ideas we take for granted. Her reporting has taken her around the world, from the mountains of Tajikistan to rainforests of Guatemala, and been recognized by associations including the Association of British Science Writers, Society of American Travel Writers and Medical Journalists’ Association. A former senior journalist and editor for the BBC’s science and health section, she also writes for outlets including New Scientist, The Atlantic, and Scientific American. After living in the U.S., Italy, and U.K., she resides in Switzerland with her husband and daughter. She is a graduate of Yale and Cambridge universities.
