E. David Klonsky, Ph.D., received his B.A. in psychology from Washington University in St. Louis and his Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Virginia. He is currently an assistant professor of psychology at Stony Brook University, where he is also director of the Personality, Emotion and Behavior Laboratory. His research examines the personality traits and emotion processes that lead to psychopathology and maladaptive behaviors. He wishes to thank his wife Alexis for her love, support and numerous Harry Potter insights. David and Alexis would both like to thank J.K.
